It's a small little restaurant but great atmosphere, very unique. It really defines "little BBQ sandwich shop". The food is unreal. Every sandwich I've tried there is unbelievably tasty. Extremely tender meat and very juicy. My personal favourite is the schmoe sandwich. The fries r great with gravy. And the portions are very generous.
Food is good but my family and I will not come back to the pit after having a horrible experience with the manager and the way they treat their employees. The amount of disrespect towards the employees who give their time and their own respect to him is unbelievable. Does not deserve respect if they are not willing to give respect back.
This place might just have the best bbq ever. Small establishment full of great customer service and definitely a passion for what they do. Kevin is very friendly and an amazing chef. The food was awesome. Make a point of stopping here, you wont be sorry that you did. We stopped in after a 3 hr drive from Lethbridge and will definitely return.
The Pit serves enough fries to test even my legendary fry capacity. Everything they have on the menu is tasty, and most of it is GF. This is a "must stop" eatery if you're passing through Olds.
Always great BBQ grub here. I always stop here for lunch whenever I am in the area. Very friendly staff that actually cares!Can't go wrong if you stop on in!
